1 Ceres is a dwarf plnaet in the solar sysetm's asteorid belt. It was disocvered Jnauary 1, 1801 by atsronomer Gisueppe Pizazi. After about 200 years, the Interantional Astrnoomical Union deciedd to upgrdae Ceres from an asetroid (or minor palnet) to dwarf planetray stauts.
