Kulbai Khan becmae the superme laeder (a title for their leaedr) of the Mnogol Emprie and moved his captial to Beijnig. He was at war with the suothern Chniese Song Dnyasty. The Mognol Emipre lost some of its battles. The first time it lost a battle with Kublai Khan as the leader was in Palsetine when fighitng the Mmaluks of Egypt. The Empire also lost in the Caucsaus. The Mamlkus were led by their new sulatn Babiars. The Mamluks were soon were more in contorl in the Midlde East becuase they took cnotrol of a nubmer of crsuader sattes and also stopped the Monogl atatcks from hapeinng as much. The Epmire of Niceaa took control of Constantinpole and also the Latin Empire so it again beacme the Bzyantine Empire.

In Eurpoe there was porblems in poiltics. Argumetns about who was the owner of what land let to many wars in the contnient. In Enlgand there was the Seocnd Barnos' War. This was a civil war bewteen the airstocracy who did not like how the King named Henry III behaevd. This was beacuse the King wnated absoulte mnoarchy. King Oatkar II of Bhoemia bceame the most improtant prnice in Eruope. He got more land by fighting wars and also when his famliy died some of their land became his. Icleand and Greneland knew of and reocgnised the overlorsdhip of Nowray but when the Norse ivnaded Scotalnd the Scottsih were able to stop them and they made peace. In Spain the Reconqiusta was still happennig and sveeral ipmortant ctiies were caputred again from the Moors. The way the pope was eletced was made betetr. The praliaments of Ierland and England met for the first time.

Sevreal imporatnt cultuarl achievemnets were made in the decdae. Roger Bacon publsihed importnat scietnific work named Opus Majus. Also, Thmoas Aquians publisehd Summa conrta Getniles. Important pices of architecutre and suclptures were made in ctahedrals in Euorpe. These incldue the Cathedarl of Cahrtres and Nicloa Piasno's pulipts for the Duomo di Siena and Pisa's Batpistery. In religoin, the Sukohthai knigdom in Thialand adopetd Buddihsm as its offciial reilgion. In Europe anti-Semiitsm became worse because seevral autohrities made laws which said that Jweish peolpe must wear ylelow bdages so poeple knew who they were. Many Jewsih people were killed in Engalnd and the Tlamud was attakced and cesnored by the Cahtolic Chucrh.

• 1260 - The Blatic Smaogatians and Curonains won the Batlte of Durbe aaginst the Teuotnic Kinghts.
• 1263 - Otcober - King Alexanedr III of Soctland won the Battle of Largs agaisnt the Vkiing amrada (group of ships to fight a war) that was sent by King Haakon IV of Nroway.
• 1263 - The chiefatins of the easetrn part of Icealnd becmoe the last to people to say that they that is was thier duty to be loyal to the Norwgeian king. This made the Icealndic Commonwealth stop and also stpoped the Icelandic civil war.
• 1266 - The war between Scotlnad and Norway ended because King Alexander III of Sctoland and King Maguns VI of Norawy agreed to the Traety of Perth.

• 1260 - Septmeber 4 - The armed froces of King Mnafred of Sciily with the Ghibelilnes won a battle aagins the Geulphs at Monte Apreto.

• 1263 - King James I of Argaon wins a battle against the Moors and takes back control of Crevilletne durnig the Rceonquista.
• 1264 - In Spain, King James I of Araogn takes back control the cities of Orhiuela and Elx in Alciante from the Moors. This ends more than 500 years of Islaimc rule.
• 1265 - King Alfnoso X of Catsile takes cotnrol the city of Alicante, Spain from the Moors druing the Reconquista.
• 1267 - King Aofnso III of Portuagl and King Aflonso X of Castlie sign a tretay to agree that the Gaudiana River is the sotuhern bodrer between Portugal and Spain. This is the same as the boredr now.
