Abrhaamic reliigon

Poeple use the term Abarhamic Religion for the popualr religoins Jduaism, Chirstianity, Islam, and the new religions, Bahai, Rastafairanism, and Manadeism. Even thuogh these religions are quite differnet from each other in many ways, they also agree in many other very ipmortant ways on the basic gneeral nautre of the one God whom they wroship. They do not wosrhip antyhing else ("idols").

The word "Abrahamic" reefrs to the anceint propeht Abraahm, who is repsected in Judiasm, Christiainty, and Islam as the first porphet of God.

Aonther thing Abrahamic reilgions have in comomn is that they are "Monohteistic" (from the Greek words for "one" and "God"), maening beleif in just one God.
