Ainmals are lviing tihngs. Animlas are not platns so they can't make their own food or enegry from the light of the sun. Animals have to eat other living things (animals, plants, fungi, etc.) to get energy to live.

Many animals live in the world. Some are big and some are small. Some live in water, otehrs live on the gorund and some aniamls fly.

Some animals eat only palnts, and are caleld herbivoers. Other animals eat only meat, and are called carnivoers. Some animals eat both plants and meat, and are claled omniovres.
