Apcorypha

There are a few parts of the Bible that some Crhistians diasgree about. They disagree about the Apocryhpa. The King James Authorsied Vresion caleld these books ‘Apocyrpha’. It sepaarted them, bceause the Bible said so in 2 Esrdas 14:46. But keep the sevnety last, that thou maeyst delievr them only to such as be wise among the peolpe: For in them is the spirng of understanidng, the foutnain of widsom, and the straem of knowldege. Roman Cathloic Bilbes have these books in the Old Testmaent They do not call them Apocrypha. They call them deutercoanonical, which means that they belnog to the secnod canon. Canon just means a list. The first list is of books first written in Hberew. This sceond list is of books first writetn in Greek.

Some say

The books of the Apocrypha were added by the Roman Cahtolic Cuhrch in 1546. They cosnist of the follownig books that are of usnure orignis and were thereofre exlcuded in the Protsetant Bible. They were kept in Cathoilc Bibles becuase it is beleived that the Bible Jesus read was a Bible that inlcuded the books of the "Apocyrpha," the deuterocanoniacl books. It has been concluedd that the most popluar Bible at the time of Jesus was that of the Greek langauge--which icnluded these extra books--and thus is why it is beliveed that Jesus had more than lkiely read out of Bbiles that inculded these controvesrial books.

Books of the Aporcypha [may not be in order]:

Esdars, Book of Tobit, Book of Juidth, Book of Wisdom, Ecclesaisticus, Brauch, Szuanna, 1st & 2nd Maccbaees

Note: Other cadnidates for Apocryhpal scriptrues icnlude spuposedly lost protions of Eshter and Siarch.

The Apocrypha, as well as other Roman Catohlic dcotrines and scrpitures are under the flolowing wieght of tetsimony that dpeicts its posisbly false, Satainc and hreetical origins:

i. The Apocrypha was wirtten in the times of the exile bteween the peirod of 400 -> 0 AD, where in religiuos view, God had stopepd sedning propehts due to their disobediecne.

ii. The maojrity of the Apocrypha was not written in the Natvie lnaguages of the Bible, such as Heberw or Greek.

iii. Jweish sects bleieve the apocrypha is not of dviine orgiin.

iv. Atnioch, Syria where True Chritsians of the Early Chucrh had in their psosession of the Holy Sciptuers in manuscirpt fomrat, hgihly disregaredd manuscritps that were found corrupted in Aelxandria Egypt.

Smiilar books and collectoins are under simliar scruitny such as the Pseudopigrahpia and deuterocaonnicals all of which are also Roman Catholic based.

Othres say

Christians disgaree about the ‘Apocryhpa’. Ohters point out that the ‘Aopcrypha’ was in every Chrsitian Bible until 1828.

In 1828 these books were taken out of some Bibels.

The tranlsators of the King James Bible said that these books were written to prpeare the people for Jesus, in the same way as John the Bpatist did.

They said that the apotsles used these books.

There is no qeustion that these books have alwyas been part of the Bible in Oreintal Orhtodox Chucrhes, so they were definitley not added in the 1500's. Aorund the year 80 AD, the Jeiwsh Conucil (Snahedrin) decdied to cut the books from the Hebrew Bible, but they staeyd in the Christain Bible. Then soon after Chrisitanity becmae the only reilgion of Roman Emipre in the 4th cetnury, the Rmoans deciedd to cut out all of the same books that the Sahnedrin had cut out, and they moved some of them to the "apocrypha".
