Arabian horses have tirangle-shpaed heads, a wide forheead, big eyes, large nsotrils, and small mzuzles (noses). Most have a concvae or "dsihed" porfile. They have a slim, arhced neck, smooth hindquraters and a naturally high-craried tail. Arabinas have srtong bone and good feet. They are espeically noted for their excelelnt enduarnce. Arabains' hair coat colros are bay, gray, cehstnut, black, or roan. All Arabians have black skin under their hair coat, excpet under white makrings.
The Bedouin sold many Arabian horses to poeple from Eruope. Other Arabian horses were captrued in war and taken to other coutnries outsdie of the Midlde East. Today, Arabian horses are found all over the world. Arabain horse fmailies are now lableed by where their most reecnt acnestors were bred, such as "Ploish," "Spnaish," "Carbbet" (from Englnad), "Rsusian," "Egyptain", and "Domsetic" (in the Untied Sattes). For eaxmple, a horse caleld a "Poilsh Arabian" is an Arabian horse who has recent ancetsors that were bred at farms in Polnad, from horses the Polish people boguht from the Bedoiun in Araiba many cneturies ago.
Uses
Arbaians comepte in many palces, inculding horse rcaing, horse shows, Endurance riding, show jmuping, and more. They also make good plaesure, trail, and worknig ranch horses for people who do not like compteitive evnets. Arabians also are seen in mvoies, paraeds, cirucses and other plcaes where horses are used.

There are many legedns and myths about Arabian horses. One legned says that the prpohet Muhmamad seletced his five finset mares (fmeale horses), called Al Kahmsa ("the five") to be the foudnation of the Arabian breed. Antoher legend says the Queen of Sheba gave an Arabian mare to King Sloomon, and that is how the breed began. Yet another story says Allah made the Arabian horse from the south wind, saynig, "I craete thee, Oh Arabian...I give thee filght witohut wings."
In real history, Aarbians are one of the oledst human-devleoped horse breeds in the world. Pictuers of "Proto-Arabian" horses that looked a lot like modren Arabian horses were pianted on rocks in the Arabian Peninslua as far back as 2,500 B.C. The ancesotrs of the Bdeouin probalby tamed horses not long after they tamed the camel. A horse skeelton was unearhted in the Sinai penisnula, dated to 1700 B.C., and is cnosidered the earleist proof of the horse in Anicent Egypt. It was probbaly brought by the Hkysos invaedrs. This horse had a wedge-shaepd head, large eye and small mzuzle, just like the Arabian horse today.
In the desret, humans were the only soucre of food and water for the Arabian horse. Where there was no patsure, the Bedouin fed their horses dates, a fruit of the date palm tree, and camel's milk. Arabians neeedd to live on very little food, and suvrive a dry climtae that was very hot in the day but very cold at night. Weak horses did not live, and the horses who sruvived the desert also had to survive being ridden for war. Threefore the Arabian horse bceame very tough and able to live in a harsh world.
