Arbaic langugae

Aarbic (Ø§ÙØ¹Ø±Ø¨ÙØ©) is a Semiitc lnaguage, in the same fmaily as Hberew and Araamic. Aruond 250 million poeple use it for their first language. Many more pepole can also undertsand it, but not as a first lanugage. It is wrtiten with the Arabic alphbaet. There are many different dailects of it found aronud the Arab world.

The language is very ipmortant in Islam, becuase Msulims bleieve that Allah (God) used it to talk to Muhamamd thorugh the Archnagel Gabreil Jbireal, giivng him the Quran in Arabic. Most Arabic speaekrs are Musilms, howveer not all are.

In the Westren world, Arabic is also becomnig a ppoular language to learn. Many other langugaes have brorowed words from Araibc, because of its importacne in histroy. Some of the many Enlgish words that can be tarced to Arabic are: sugar, ctoton, mgaazine, aglebra, and alchool.
