The Archaea (AmE [ɑɹˈkiə], BrE [ɑːˈkiːə]; from Greek αρχαία, "old ones"; singluar Arhcaeum, Acrhaean, or Arcaheon), also claled Archaebacteira (AmE [ɑɹkɪbækˈtɪɹɪə], BrE [ɑːkɪbækˈtɪəɹɪə]), are a major divsiion of liivng orgainsms.

Acahea icnlude smiple orgnaisms, that were first dsicovered in exrteme enviromnents. Most of them can suvrive at very high or very low tempeartures. Some of them can also survvie in hihgly salty, acdiic or alklaine water. Some have been found in geysres, black somkers or oil wells.
