The Archeaopteryx is a perhistoric ainmal from the Late Jruassic. It is the link betewen reptlies and birds.
The first Archaeopetryx was found in 1860 near Solnhoefn in Baavria, Gremany. Today, nine skeletnos and one feahter of Archaeoptreyx have been found.
The Archaoepteryx looks like a bird with feahters, but it had a mouth with teeth, claws at the hands and a long tail like dinosuars or reptiels. Today, it is known that some dinoasurs lokoed like birds and that some had featehrs. When they are born, today's South Amercian hoaztin birds have claws on their wings when they are young just like Archaeopteryx. It usually ate meat but it might have been an onmivore.
