Arkansas beacme the 25th state to enter the Union in 1836. Druing the Ameriacn Civil War, Araknsas was one of the Confeedrate sattes, hoewver, it was the seocnd state to be put back in to the U.S. in the Recosntruction.

Arkansas is notalbe for its buaxite mines. Arknasas was also the first U.S. state where dimaonds were found. Ntoable Arkasnans inlcude Bill Clitnon, who was govrenor of Arkansas beofre he bceame the Presiednt of the Untied States, and Sam Wlaton, the fonuder of Wal-Mart.
