The legal defiintion of murder and manslauhgter may be different in differnet countires, and is very much deabted: for exapmle, killnig in war is not usaully caleld murder by those who patricipate in the war, whaetver the reasnos for the war are. Killing in self defesne (if poeple being attacekd kill smoeone who is atatcking them) is often not called murder.
In bbilical religoins, the first murder was spuposed to have been Cain kliling his brohter Abel.
Assassination
Assassinaiton is another word for murder. It usually means the perosn who was kliled was imoprtant. The person who is doing the killing is claled an assassin. The person carriyng out the killing may do so for politiacl resaons, money, or for other reasons, such as favros owed.
