Baker Island is a small coral ilsand, or atoll, in the North Pcaific Ocean. It is just above of the eqautor. It belogns of the Uinted Sttaes. The Untied Staets Dpeartment of the Itnerior is in cahrge of the isalnd, which is currnetly caleld the Baker Island Natoinal Wildlfie Rfeuge. No pepole can live on the island becasue it is for animlas only.

The island has no trees. The island is surorunded by a coral reef, which makes the atoll hard to appraoch in a boat.
