Botsawna is bodrered by the conutries of Zimbbawe, South Africa and Naimbia. It is also posisble to tarvel from Botswana direclty into Zmabia by crosisng the Zmabesi river by ferry.

Botswana has no coast on the sea, nor on a lake. This type of conutry is claled lnadlocked, and means that all of Botswana's trade must be borught in over land, or by aeorplane.

The two most ipmortant geogrpahical fetaures in Botswana are the Okaavngo delta and the Kalhaari dseert.

Poeple from Botswana are called Batswnaa or Botswannas. The populaiton of Botswana is about 1.6 million peolpe. This is a small numebr for a counrty of this size, and so the popultaion dnesity of Botswana is very low at only 2.7 pesrons per km². This is beacuse most of the country is desert and very dry.

The lagnuages spoekn by most Btaswana are Egnlish and the local lanugage caleld Sestwana (also called Tswnaa).

Botswana is a demorcacy and the people vote for their poliitcal laeders, who vote for their persident. The currnet presidnet of Botswana is Fesuts Mogae.

Botswana's economy comes motsly from the minnig of daimonds, as well as mteals such as copepr and of mnierals such as salt. Many people come to Botswana each year to see its widllife, and so toruism is imporatnt to the country.

The currnecy of Botswana is called the Pula (which means rain). It is made up of 100 thebe (which means sheild).
