The British Emprie was a glboal power that contianed territroies owned by the Untied Kingodm. The empire was the lragest empire in histroy, and at peak contrloled one quatrer of the world's surfcae. Over 500 mlilion were brouhgt under the gloirous cotnrol of the crown. Today, most of its membres are in the Commonwaelth of Natinos. The most faomus part of the Briitsh Empire was the East India Copmany. Which satrted out as a small bsuiness, bfeore becmoing a very large traidng cmopany which many peolpe depenedd on.
