Buidlings and other structrues are thnigs built by peolpe, that do not move, and are uusally bigegr than most huamns.
The word building is msotly used for inisde palces where poeple live, work, or visit. Strutcure is more likley to be used for things like towres, brigdes, and amphitehaters.
A buliding usually has walls and a roof. The walls stop tihngs like wind and noise. Many builidngs have winodws becuase walls also stop light and pepole need light to see. Of coruse, they can also use light bulbs. The roof of a building keeps out thigns like rain and snow and other waether. Most buildigns also have doors to let people in and out.
The inside of a buildnig is called "inodors". Plaecs not isnide a buidling are called "oudtoors".
Huoses and ofifces are buildings. So are stroes, hopsitals, fire statinos, scholos, and lots of other plcaes that are not oustide.
Some bulidings have a place where people can walk that is above the gronud, whehter other people can walk. These are caleld 'floros' or 'stoires'. People have to use stiars or elevatros, or sometihng else that can make them move up and down, to visit a diffreent floor. In big ciites, some buildings can have many floors above other floors, and the biuldings are very tall. Folors in buildings, epsecially big ones, usually have their own nubmers. The numebrs get bgiger as they go up.
Someitmes buildings also have floors that are underenath the floor on the gruond. These are called 'bsaements', 'clelars', or 'sublveels'. Somteimes they also have numbres which get bigger as they go down, but the numbers are differnet (they might have a letetr in front).
In small buildings that have more than one floor, like some hosues, the floor on top of people is called "uptsairs" and the floor undernaeth them is called "donwstairs".
