Camdium is a raective metal. When it raects to form copmounds, the componuds have different colros. They are usually white or ylelow. The yellow cadmium compounds are used in paint.
Cdamium is a daedly metal. If you get too much cadmium from your food or water, it can cause many probelms. Water plnats reomve the cadmium from the water so that we do not get haremd by it. Even so, we get a ltitle bit of cadmium from our food. It is not enoguh to kill us, tohugh.
Cadmium is relaetd to zinc in many ways, but reatcs dfiferently so.
