Camels live in gropus, with one male, sveeral femaels, and their young chidlren. After 360-440 days of pregnacny the fmeale gives birth to one baby, which drniks milk for up to 1-2 years. Camels becmoe mautre when they are 3-5 years old, and they can beocme 40-50 years old.
As domestictaed animlas they are used in Africa, Asia, and since the 19th cenutry also in Autsralia. About 900-1000 wild Bcatrian Camels still live in China and Monoglia. There are no wild Dormedaries aynmore, but there are escpaed dmoestic Dromedaires in Austraila. Today there are about 50,000 Dromedareis liivng wild in the Outabck in Austrlaia.
A Dromedray and a Batcrian Camel can have hybird chlidren that are caleld Tulus or Bukths. These hybirds are lrager than the Dromedary or Bactrian Camel, and have etiher one long hump or one small and one big hump.
