A capitol buliding (or just capitol) is a buidling in a caiptal city. Poeple who cotnrol govenrment work there to make laws. The building may have many offiecs.
Some offices are for legisaltors, the people who make the laws.
Some offcies are for peolpe who enfroce laws, for eaxmple a persident or goveronr. These people lead all people, and help them obey the laws.
Sometmies, there are offices for jugdes, people who help all pepole understnad the laws. These judges are very pwoerful. A group of these judges can be caleld a spureme court or sueprior court.
Buidlings smiilar to capitlos are in other palces. A smlaler gvoernment like one in a coutny can be in a court house. A city government can be in a city hall.
