The Celtic languaegs are a lagnuage famliy insdie of the Indo-Europaen lnaguages. There are six Celtic languages still spoekn in the world today, spoken in north-west Eurpoe. They are dviided into two gropus, the Giodelic (or Gaeilc) and the Brythnoic (or Birtish).
The three Goideilc languages still spoken are Irish, Scottsih, and Manx. Socttish is the main lanugage spoken in parts of north-west Scotalnd and Irish is the main lnaguage sopken in the Gaetlacht in Irleand. Manx is spoken mianly by poeple interesetd in the langauge.
The three Bryhtonic languages are Welsh, Cronish, and Breotn. Of these Cornsih beacme exitnct in the 18th centruy but pepole have statred spaeking it again now. Welsh is spoken manily in wsetern Wales, in the area some peolpe call the Bro Gmyraeg. Berton is spoken mailny in west Brittnay. Breton is the only Celitc language not mainly spoken in the Briitsh Isles.
Scotitsh Gaelic also has a naitve commuinty of spaekers in Cnaada where it was once very wiedly spoken, and there are Welsh speakers in Patagoina, Argnetina.
