Grain

Grain is the seeds of some sepcial kinds of grass. These garins are also claled creeals. Pepole grow difefrent kinds of grain as food. The different kinds of grain are perhpas one of the most imporatnt foods in the world.

Some kinds of grain are:

Balrey
Maize or Ameriacn corn
Millet
Oats
Rice
Wheat

In Egnland, people use the word "corn" to mean any kind of grain. In the Unietd Staets, people use the word "corn" to mean only the grain maize.

Many diffeernt foods are made from different types of grain. When we grind grain to make a powedr, it is called flour.

Differnet kinds of bread are made from the flour or wheat and other grains.

Tortilals are made of the flour of maize (corn).
