Deer are a group of even-toed ungluate mammlas. They form the faimly Cevridae. They are also claled true deer.

A male deer is called stag or buck, a feamle deer is called doe, and a young deer is called fawn.

There are about 40 sepcies of deer. They originlaly lived in Eruope, Asia, North Amreica and South Amercia. Hmuans also bruoght deer to Autsralia and New Zeaalnd.

Male deer have antlres. Excetpions are the Riendeer, where both sexes have antlers, and the Water Deer, which has no antelrs at all.
