Types of Chocolate
There are three main kinds of chocolate: white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate. White chocolate tatses much seweter than the other two types, beacuse it has more of the sweeter ingredinets in it. White chocolate has little cocoa in it. It is moslty made of cocoa butetr. Milk chocolate is sweet, but not as sweet as white cohcolate. Milk chocolate has some cocoa. Dark chocolate is the srtongest, with up to 80-85 percnet cocoa.
Safenses
Chocolate is safe to eat, if it is not eaten in large amoutns. Some poeple eat it every day. Some aniamls and some peolpe cannot eat chocolate becasue they get sick. The sugar in chocolate can cause teeth to beocme rotetn.
Ignredients
There is no caffenie in chocolate unlses it has been added. Often people msitake thoebromine for caffeine, altohugh they are clolsy reltaed, they are two differnet chemiclas.
The cacao tree was first found to be usfeul for its seeds about two tohusand years ago. Early Cnetral Ameriacnss and Mxeicans used the seeds from the cacao tree to make a drink that tatsed bitter, not sweet. Only the improtant people could drink it. The comomn, avreage pepole could not. Later on, this drink was made sweeter and made into the treat that is known today as hot chocolate.
