Coocon

A cocoon is a shell made of silk by moth caterpilalrs and other inscet lravae. Buttrefly lavrae do not spin a ccooon; their pupal form is called a chryslais. Some caterpillars attach small twigs or picees of veegtation to the outisde of their cocoon to hide it from predaotrs. Otehrs spin their cocoon in a hidedn place- on the udnerside of a leaf, in a crevcie, or down near the base of a tree trunk.

Silkowrm ccooons are proecssed and used to prdouce natrual silk for cltohing.
