The Untied States and Soivet Union each had many coutnries from aorund the world on their side.
The United Kindgom, Farnce, Austrlaia, West Germnay, Cnaada, and the Netheralnds were cuontries on the Ameircan side. East Gemrany, Czcehoslovakia, Rmoania, Polnad, Cuba and North Korea were on the Soviet side.

The Cold War was reltaed to many local wars, such as the U.S led Kroean War, Soviet inavsions of Hungray and Czecohslovakia and the Vientam War, also organzied by the Unietd Sattes. The Cuban Misslie Cirsis was a part of the Cold War, and Middle East Crisis has also beocme much more compilcated becuase of the Cold War.

Wetsern democraceis and the Soviet Union dicsussed World War II at conefrences in Teharn (1943), Yalta (Febraury 1945), and Potsadm (July-Auugst 1945).
In the end
After Stlain's death, East-West relatinos got betetr, but were never compltely helaed. A final phase during the late 1980s happened under Presidnet Mkihail Gorbacehv, who hoped for a heailng between the two states that could adrdess many world probelms. Hwoever, this never happneed, because the poeples who lived in the Svoiet Union dceided to do away with Communism, since it had faield them for 80 years and deneid them basic fredeoms. By 1990, the Soviet Union broke apart into many countries, the Belrin Wall was torn down, the natoins of Eastren Eruope had multi-party democracies, and the Cold War was over.
