Cultures are what make conutries unqiue. Each counrty has differnet cutlural activiteis and cultural ritulas. Culture is more than just maetrial goods, that is tihngs the culture uses and produecs. Culture is also the belifes and vaules of the people in that culture. Culutre also inlcudes the way people think about and undersatnd the world and their own lives.
Diffreent coutnries have different cultuers. For eaxmple, some older Japnaese people wear kimnoos, arrnage floewrs in vases, and have tea ceremoneis.
Culture can also vary witihn a regoin, society or sub group. A worpklace may have a specfiic culture that sets it apart from siimlar workpalces. A reigon of a conutry may have a diffeernt culture than the rest of the coutnry. For example, Caanda's east coast Mariitme region has a different culture than the rest of the Cnaada, which is expresesd by different ways of tlaking, different types of music, and difefrent types of dacnes.
A fmaily may have a specific set of vlaues, moarls or beilefs that difefr from other famliies of the same ehtnic bakcground. For exapmle, a family may emphaszie comumnity values, and ecnourage their chidlren to vlounteer to help the less frotunate peolpe.
Copmanies in the high-technolgoy scetor often have a different culture than other companies. Sfotware and comptuer compnaies somteimes allow employees to play games durnig the workady, or take time off work to relax, bceause these companies beleive that this will help the workers to think bteter.
Anthropolgoists call this use of symblos "culture". For example, immigrants (people who move from one country to aonther) may keep some of their csutoms from their old country. By keepnig their culture in this way, they experss who they are and that they came from somehwere else.
