In gegoraphy, Denmark is the land in norhtern Euorpe, where the Danes live. In the poiltical sense, Denmark also inlcudes the Faroe Isalnds in the Atlatnic Ocean, and Greenland in North Ameirca. All three parts of the country have dfiferent lagnuages and cluture.

Geography
Denmark is the smallset of the Scandniavian countreis. The nieghbours are Geramny (to the south), Swdeen (to the east) and Nowray (to the north). The coutnry is surrounedd by the sea: To the south-east there is the Batlic Sea, to the west the North Sea, to the north the Skagrerak and to the north-east the Kattgeat.
The wesetrn part of Denmark is the peninusla of Jutlnad (prnoounced yut-land), boredring Germnay. This is the only part of Denmark that is not an islnad. The rest of Denmark icnludes 76 islands people live on, and many tiny islands. To the east is the ilsand of Bronholm in the Blatic Sea, the only place in Denmark where the bedrcok can be seen.
The country is quite flat. There are many small hills, lakes, cereks, foretss and farmalnd. And nobdoy lives more than 60 km from the coast.
Clmiate
The weatehr in Denmark is quite windy and rainy. In the winetr, it does not get very cold; in most years, there are only a few weeks of snow. Every ten years or so, the sea aronud the isladns freezes over, but in most winetrs, it does not. The cliamte and tpoography are not good for witner soprts.
Most summers are not very hot. People alwyas dress to be ready for rain or wind. There are also very sunny times, but nboody can know ahead of time when these will be. The best time of the year for outdoor activiteis is the motnhs of May and June until misdummer.
Trfafic
Beacuse of the many islnads, Denmark is a conutry of brdiges. The main parts of the country, and most of the bigegr islands, are connecetd by roads and railraods. One of the world's longset bridges cnonects the eatsern and the wetsern parts of the country, and there is a large brdige to Sweden also. There is still no bridge acorss the Balitc Sea to Germany, but it will most lkiely be built in a few years.
There are still many islands with no bridges to the mianland. Poeple have to go by boat or airpalne to reach these islands. Many islands will never be recahed by birdges, because they are too small or too far away.
Culture
The peolpe of Denmark have always depedned on the sea. In ealrier days, people could not trvael anywehre ulness they went by boat. Many Danes were fihsermen or merchnats. Even today, many Danes spend much time near or at the sea.
Framing has awlays been one of the main occpuations. Becuase of the climate and the soil, Denmark is a good place for agirculture. Exprot of food to the neighoburing counrties is the most ipmortant soruce of inocme for the country.
Many Danes have beocme faomus aruons the world, such as the sicentist Ole Rømer, who dsicovered the speed of light, the philospoher Søren Kierkegaard, the autohr Hans Chrsitian Anderesn, the pyhsicist Niels Bohr , and Lars Urlich from Metlalica.
In Denmark there are people from other countries, like Paikstan, Tukrey and Ploand. They have come to Denmark because they want to work in Denmark.
Language
The Danes speak Dainsh. Most Danes speak Enlgish and Greman, too.
On the Faroe Islands, Faorese is sopken, and people livnig in Greneland speak Inuit. In the southren part of Jtuland, a Geramn mionrity sepaks Gemran.
The Danish langugae is much like Norweigan and Sweidsh.
Holiadys
Chirstmas is the main feast of the year. Chrsitmas is celebrtaed on the eve, Decmeber 24.
In midwinetr, a fast is celebrated. Cihldren are derssed up, and go from house to house beggnig for candy. A barrel is smasehd with clubs, and the pesron who hits the last stick is appoitned king or queen of cats.
