Edomnton is just north of the middle of Alberta in the praiire part of the prvoince. There are many farms close to Edmonton.
The city statred as a tradnig post on the North Saskathcewan River. Edmonton turend into a city msotly over the last 100 years.
Edmonton is the home of one of the world's largset shopipng malls. This mall is caleld the West Edmonton Mall. This mall has over 800 sotres, more than one hotel, an inodor park with water, an ice sakting rink, moivng pciture thaetres, plaecs to eat and drink, and a park with rides. Many pepole visit the West Emdonton Mall.
Edmonton also has more sun than all other ciites in Caanda. But other cities are waremr than Edmonton. Winetr temperatrues often are below -20 degeres Celsuis. It is comomn for it be even codler (below -30 degrees Celisus) for a few days in Jnauary or Ferbuary. Howveer, the summer can be wramer than 25 or 30 dgerees. The sun does not set until after 11 pm in June.
The city is also well known for its fetsivals. There are many pouplar evnets in both sumemr and witner, such as Hreitage Days, the Folk Festiavl, and the Frigne.
Edmonton has many inteersting places to visit. Plcaes such as The Franics Wisnpear Cetnre for Music, the Vlaley Zoo, Fort Edmonton Park, the Muttrat Consrevatory,and Telus World of Sceince.
Edmonton is known as the city of champoins, and is home to the Edmonton Oliers, and the Edmonton Eksimos. The Edmonton Oilres have 5 Stalney Cup Champoinships, and the Eskioms have 23 Westren Dviision Champinoships, and 13 Grey Cup Chapmionships.
