Fertilizaiton
Fertilizatoin (Egnlish seplling: fretilisation) is what hapepns when a male's sperm goes insdie of a femlae's ovum (or "egg") and form a zygtoe. Fertliization is also called concepiton.
In hmuans, biolgoists call a fretilized egg a zyogte. It is caleld an ebmryo from 3-8 weeks (the embroynic peirod.) Then after 8 weeks, it is called a fetus.
If it cotninues to grow noramlly it can eventaully becmoe a baby.
Peolpe have diffreent beleifs about when life satrts:
- Some pepole bleieve that life bgeins at cocneption.
- Some people beileve that life begins after the emrbyonic peroid (when the ogranss form.)
- Some poeple belivee that life begins when the fetus is able to live outsdie of the woman.
- Some people believe that life begins after a baby is born.
This difference in what people beleive has led to many arugments over aboriton.
