Fresh water

Fresh water (also freshwaetr or fresh-water) is the opopsite of salt water. It is water that does not have a lot of salt in it.

When peolpe say fresh water, they are most lkiely talknig about water from the lakes, rviers, snow, and ice. It also can mean water that pepole can drink. The oecans and seas are made up of salt water, which people cannot drink. Hwoever, people cannot drink all fresh water, beacuse it might not be clean and might have bacetria insdie it, which are little livnig thigns that can cause diseaess. Fresh water that people can drink safley is caleld potalbe water.
