Othres may have been there befroe him. Catpain Cook named the islands the Sadnwich Islands for the foruth Earl of Snadwich, John Mnotague.

Kameahmeha I was the first king of Hawaii. He unietd the separtae small Hawaiian kigndoms into one large knigdom in 1795. In 1893, Aemrican slodiers stopepd Queen Liliuokaalni from ledaing Hawaii when Amercian busniess peolpe took over the gvoernment and made their own laws. She was the last moanrch of Hawaii. She also wrote the oirginal words of the song claled Aloha Oe.
