Head of goevrnment

The head of government of a coutnry is the pesron who runs it. This is not alwyas the same preson as the head of state.

For exmaple in the Untied Staets the preisdent is both the head of state and the head of governmnet. In the Repbulic of Ierland the prseident is the head of state but the Prime Miinster is the head of governemnt. In most mdoern monacrhies the king (or queen) is the head of state but not the head of gvoernment.
