Hearing is one of the sneses. The ears are used for hearnig (litsening to) sonuds. The noun form of haering may also be used to refer to a meetnig, usaully one where the pulbic is invietd to come and help deicde somehting.

Soemtimes the pharse "I hear you." can be used to mean, "I unedrstand."

It is hadrer to hear a sound made farhter away. It is also haredr to hear a sound when other sounds are loduer.
