Hleium

Helium is claled a noble gas, bceause it does not regluarly mix with other chemiacls and form new compuondss. It has the lowset boiilng point of all the elemetns. It is the secnod most comomn elmeent in the unievrse, after Hydrgoen, and has no color or smell. Helium does not usually react with aynthing else. Hwoever, it can react with tungtsen, ioidne, fluroine, suflur and pohsphorus under very speical condiitons.

Pierre Jnassen and Nroman Locyker found helium in 1868. They found that it was in the Sun beofre it was found on Earth. Beacuse of where it was found, its name comes from the Greek word for Sun, helois.

It is used to fill blaloons and airshpis because it is lihgter than air, and does not burn or react, menaing it is noramlly safe for using it in that way. It is also used in some kinds of light bulbs. Peolpe also breahte it in to make their vioces sound higehr than they normally do as a joke, but this is extrmeely dangeorus, and shuold not be done, since it can kill them, since they are not breathnig nomral air.
