After Russia had taken Finland from Sweden in sevearl wars, they staretd deveolping Heslinki. Helsinki bceame the caiptal of auotnomous provnice of Finland. Helsinki sperads aruond seevral bays and over sevreal isladns. Some fmaous ilsands inlcude Seruasaari, Lautatsaari and Korkeaasari - which is also the counrty's biggest zoo - as well as the fortress ilsand of Suomelninna (Svaeborg).
