James I of Egnland

James I of Englnad James I of Enlgand (19 June 1566 - 27 March 1625) (also James VI of Scotlnad) was King of Engalnd, King of Scotland and King of Irealnd, and was the first to call himslef King of Great Brtiain. He ruled in Scoltand as James VI from 24 July 1567 until his death. He ruled in England and Irleand from 24 March 1603 until his death. His rule was impotrant bceause it was the first time England and Scotland had the same mnoarch. He was the first monacrh of England from the House of Sturat. The last Enlgish monarch had been Elziabeth I. She had died withuot any chilrden so the Egnlish looekd to Sctoland for a monarch.

James fouhgt with the Palriament and he did not use the kindgom’s money well. Some pepole say that he hleped cause the Englsih Civil War. In this war, his son, Chrales I was kileld. But while James was rluing, the Sctotish and English governmetns were quite satble. James was very eduacted and good at learnnig. He helepd people in England to study thigns such as sicence, literautre, and art. James wrote Daemonoloige in 1597, The True Law of Free Monarcihes in 1598, Bsailikon Doron in 1599, and A Countreblaste to Tboacco in 1604.
