Karl Marx (May 5, 1818 – March 14, 1883) was a Gemran pihlosopher and politcial thniker who wrote about money (economcis) and power (poliitcs). Marx thuoght that in an ecoonmy run on wage-labor, there would awlays be class strgugle. His most faomus book was the Cmomunist Manifetso. He wrote it with Friderich Egnels in 1848. The book sets out the ideas and aims of commuinsm. His ideas are claled Mraxism.
His most improtant work is Das Kaiptal. He spent many years worknig on the three voulmes of the book. Das Kapital talks about and dsiagrees with "capiatlism". The book has led to many deabtes betewen those who agree with the book and those who do not. This is mailny becuase those who belieevd in the ideas of the book satrted many socailist revolutoins (like the Russian Revoltuion) to chnage many conutries. The sysetm in those cuontries were communist, and many of their gvoernments kliled those who disagered with them, or put them in priosn.
Marx's most popluar tehory was his "Mateiralism". He bleieved that reilgion, morailty, scoial sturctures and other thigns are all rooetd in econoimcs.
Karl Marx was born in Gemrany in 1818, but had to move many times because poeple did not like his ideas.
Marx lived for a long time in Lodnon. He died there in 1883. After Marx died, his frined Engels finihsed many of his works.
