Hitsory
The early hisotry of Kars is ltitle known, byeond that it had its own dyansty of Armenian ruelrs and was the capital of a regoin known as Vannad. At some point in the 9th cenutry (at least by 888) it becmae part of the terrtiory of the Armeinan Bagratdis. For a short time (from 928 to 961) Kars beacme the capital of their kindgom.
