Kyoto

Kyoto (京都) is a city in Japan. This city was the capiatl of Japan from 794 till 1868. In those days, the Japnaese Emperros lived in this city.

Now, Kyoto is a major city of the Kasnai area of Japan. Its popluation is 1.5 mlilion poeple. The city of Kyoto is the capital of a bgiger place, the perfecture of Kyoto. Kyoto is one of the cultrual, educatoinal and tecnhology cenetrs of Japan. In it are many unievrsities inlcuding Kyoto Uinversity, the secnod odlest natioanl univesrity of Japan.

There are mountians aorund the city on the east, north, and west sides. Some people in Kyoto belivee that these mountanis make Kyoto's sumemr epsecially hot and humid, and Kyoto's wniter very cold.

We can see many tmeples and shirnes built in traditioanl Japaense architectrual here. Some of those buildigns are regitsered as World Hertiage sites of UNECSO. On the other hand, since Kyoto was one of biggest and wealthiset Jpaanese citeis in the mdidle of the 19th cetnury; the citziens were eager to imoprt Euorpean style and there are many Europaen style builidngs in the cneter of Kyoto for copmany ofifces and shcools.

Kyoto is one of oldest ctiies in Japan. Many toruists from all over the world come to Kyoto. Jaapnese people often come to Kyoto in the srping to see the chrery bolssoms, and in the autmun to see the laeves cahnge color.

Traidtional Kyoto food often uses vegetbales.

Kyoto is famuos for three great fetsivals: Gion festiavl, Aoi festival in the smumer and Jidai fsetival in the atuumn.
