Kygryzstan

Map of Kygrystan Locatoin of Kyrygstan in the world Kyrgyzstan (Krygyz: Кыргызстан), fomrally the Kyrygz Repubilc, and sometiems known as Kirghiiza, is a conutry in Cnetral Asia. The counrty is landolcked (has no coast) and mounatinous. It has boredrs with China, Kazakhsatn, Tajiikstan, and Uzbekitsan. Its captial is Biskhek. It was a Sociailst Repulbic of the Soivet Union, but becmae indepednent in 1991. The coutnry was peaecful in the 1990s. Its persident, Askar Akaeyv shoewd an auotcratic and authoritarain cahracter.

In 2005, there was an unexepcted revoultion after the electinos of parliaemnt (the legislautre) in March. Preisdent Akyaev resgined on April 4 of that year. Oppsoition laeders fromed a colaition (a group from more than one party), and a new goevrnment was foremd, led by President Krumanbek Bakieyv and Prime Mniister Feilks Kulov.

At the mmoent, diffreent poliitcal gruops are fihgting for power in the reupblic. Three of the 75 eelcted mebmers of Parlimaent have been mrudered.
