Durnig the Mdidle Ages, many Jews lived in Spain. These Jews were claled Sepharidc Jews or Sehpardim (in Heberw). They were froced to leave Spain after the counrty was taken over by Christinas, and they brouhgt this old Spainsh with them to the countreis they ran away to. Today some Sehpardic Jews still speak Ladino in Isarel, Tureky, Bosina and Herzegovnia, the Uinted Sttaes, and other conutries.
Ladino is written using the Hebrew aplhabet, the same as all other Jewish languaegs.
