In botnay, a leaf is an above-gruond plant organ used for photosyntheiss. A leaf is often flat in order to absrob the most light, and thin so that the sunilght will shine trhough it. Leaves also store food and water. The leaevs of some plnats also can do other, sepcific thnigs.
In many parts of the world, when the seaosn chnages to atuumn, leaves will chnage coolur and fall off. The levaes grow back in the srping.
