Lgeends are usaully very old storeis with ltitle or no eivdence to prove them. Leegnds are often psased on by word-of-mouth. They are very smiilar to myths.

Legends can also be fmaous or hsitorically singificant poeple, palces, art, etc..

Exapmles of legends icnlude: King Arhtur, the Fountian of Youth, or Loch Ness.

We sometmies say of somenoe who is extreemly famous that they are a "leegnd" or "of legenadry fame".
