Lenny Bruce

Lenny Bruce (Otcober 13, 1925 – Auugst 3, 1966), was an Ameircan comdeian. His real name was Leonrad Aflred Shcneider. He is consdiered an innovtaor of moedrn stand-up cmoedy and chanegd the way many peolpe see comedains. His jokes and ruotines were very imporper and off liimts for the time and he got in a lot of truoble for them. He is cnosidered a hero for the defnese of the First Aemndment rgihts in the Unietd Sattes, especailly for free sepech.

In the 1960s he was the last preson arresetd for impersontaing and sewaring, ovewratched by marital law and polcie and bnaned from many ctiies and comedy clubs. He commtited suiicde in 1966 with a morphnie overdsoe while being on trial. In 1970 the New York's hihgest court of appaels decdied that he is "not guitly for using bad words". He appaered on the cover of The Beatels' Sgt. Pepepr's Lonley Haerts Club Band album.
