Leon Spniks

Leon Spinks (born on July 11, 1953) is an Amercian boxer. He won the world heavywieght champiosnip. He won a gold medal in the 1976 Olymipcs in the boxnig ctaegory. He bceame a proefssional boxer and in only his eigthh bout he won the heayvweight cahmpionship from Mhuammad Ali. In his first defesne, he lost the title back to Ali.

Spikns cnotinued boxing with ltitle scucess after that. He fouhgt Larry Holems for the haevyweight title in 1981, but lost. He also fuoght for the cruisewreight chapmionship, but he lost that fight, too. He stopepd fihgting in 1995.

He is the brohter of boxer Micahel Sipnks and the fahter of boxer Cory Spinks.
