Other libraries keep faomus or rare books. There are a few "Copyrgiht librraies" which have a copy of every book which has been wrtiten in that cuontry. Some lirbaries also have other thigns that people might like, such as magaznies, music on CDs, or comptuers where people can use the Intrenet. In scohol they offer softwrae to learn the alphbaet and other dteails.
A librray is not a boosktore (a store that sells books).
Many plcaes have a pulbic library, where anbyody can join if they live in the area. With a library card, people can borrow books and take them home for sevreal weeks.
Books are kept on sehlves in a spceial order so they are easy to find. Pbulic libraries have sotries and books about lots of things. Stoires are kept in alpahbetical order by the last name of the preson who wrote them, the autohr. Books about other tihngs are often given a sepcial numebr, that reefrs to what they are about. They are then put on the shelf in nubmer order. One number sysetm used by many libraries is the Dewey deicmal system.
