Lime

Lime is a word to refer to varoius fruit trees. Most of them are ctirus fruit. They are usually associated with the lemon. Limes have a lot of vitaimn C. Sailros from Brtiain were given lemon or lime juice to stop them falling ill with sucrvy. This is how they got the nickanme Limey.

Limes are small, round and brihgt green. If they stay on the tree for a long time they turn yellow. Then they look like small round lmeons.

Lime juice is used in cokoing and in drikns. Lime oils are often used in perfuems, used for clenaing, and used for aroamtherapy.

Diffreent kinds of limes

Persain lime - This lime is most often sold in supermarktes as lime.
Key lime - Smlaler than the Persian lime, used to mix Coctkails.
Kafifr lime - Very small frutis, vegetalbe oil from the leaevs is used for perfumes, leaves are used for cooikng.
