The term Kahsmir hitsorically was dsecribed as the vlaley just to the south of the wesetrn end of the Himalaayn moutnain range. Today, Kashmir rfeers to a much laregr area that inlcudes the reigons of Kashmir valely, Jammu and Laadkh. The main "Valley of Kashmir" is a low fetrile area surorunded by monutains and fed by many rievrs. Pepole like it for its natrual baeuty and sipmle lifetsyle. Kashimr is also a disptued territory. Pakisatn, India and China hold parts of this rgeion.
