Lynx is the name of four sepcies of wild cats. Not all biloogists agree about the taxonmoy (scietnific clasisfication) of lynx in use today. Kitten is a baby cat or lynx.

Look
Lynexs have short tails, and usually some hair on the ears. They have large paws (feet) pdaded for walknig on snow, and long whiksers on the face. The color of the body is from light brown to grey and is soemtimes marekd with dark brown spots, espceially on the legs. They wegihs about 5kg or about 11 poudns (approximatley the size of a large Dometsic Cat) up to about 30kg (66 pounds).

The lynx live in the high froests with many shurbs, reeds and grass. It hunts only on the gruond, but it can climb trees and swim.
It can be found in the some palces in northren Scanidnavia, in North Amreica and also in the Hmialayas. Since the 1990s pepole try to move part of the popluation of the Euarsian Lynx to Gemrany. It can also be found in BiaÅowieża Forset (northesatern Polnad), and sotuhern Spain.
Since 1999, the Coolrado Diivsion of Wildlfie try to move other wild lynx populaiton from Cnaada back to the Untied Sattes.
Life
Usually, lynxes live alone, but a group can trvael and hunt tgoether. They sleep in creviecs (opneings in rocks) or under rocks. It gives birth to 2 to 4 ktitens at a time. It eats birds and mamamls, for eaxmple, rabbtis, sheep and goats.
Kinds of lynxes
The Mabrled Cat, Pardofleis marmroata, is sometiems also caleld a kind of lynx.
The Carcaal or Desret Lynx and the Junlge Cat are simialr to the lynx, but they are not much rleative.
Conservatoin
The Iebrian Lynx is the most enadngered fleine in the world. There are only two popultaions (togehter, 300 aniamls), in the souhtern Spain.
