The Māori are the naitve indigeonus peolpe of New Zeaalnd.
Their Polyneisan ancestros came to New Zealnad between 800 and 1300 AD. About 600,000 Māori live in New Zealand today.
In the MÄori lagnuage the word māori means "nomral" or "ordniary".
