It is used as a food satple by many peolpe in Mexcio, Cetnral and South Ameirca and parts of Arfica. In Euorpe and the rest of North Aemrica, maize is grown motsly for use as anmial feed. In Cnaada and the Untied Staets, maize is comomnly referred to as "corn."
